UK vs Germany: Which fits your profile?
A one-year master’s in London or a two-year degree with near-zero tuition? The trade-offs, side by side.
Duration and cost
Most UK master’s degrees take one year, so you pay higher tuition for less time. German public universities charge a small semester fee in most states, but programmes usually run two years.
Admissions
UK universities are flexible on backgrounds and accept applications on a rolling basis. German universities check your previous degree closely against the course, and Indian applicants need an APS certificate.
Work after study
The UK Graduate Route gives you time to find work after graduation. Germany offers an 18-month job-seeker permit and a strong engineering job market — learning German helps a lot.
